Seville Cathedral Tour

The first choice
Which Tour, or Just the Ticket?
A Seville Cathedral tour adds what the Cathedral’s own ticket leaves out: someone to explain what you are looking at. The Cathedral sells its general visit, the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Church of El Salvador, for 13 EUR online, with no guide (Cabildo of Seville Cathedral, checked November 2026). The tour in the calendar below, Crown Tours’ Seville: Priority Access Cathedral, Giralda & Alcázar Tour, adds the Real Alcázar and a licensed guide for about 2.5 to 3 hours, from $60 on promotion, usually $77 (checked November 2026).

Voyager Seville starts at Calle Hernando Colón 6, gives you up to 30 minutes to climb the Giralda at your own pace, then an hour inside the Cathedral with an official licensed guide.
See the tour →Seville: Cathedral and La Giralda Entry Ticket
Entry to the Cathedral and the Giralda with no guide; an audio guide comes only with its second option. The price includes a booking fee, and the ticket is non-refundable.
See the ticket →Prices, ratings and review counts from the listings (GetYourGuide checked November 2026). Operators price by date and season, so treat the figures as the shape of the market, not a quote. The first two are guided tours with entry included; the third is entry only.
Or buy at the door of the Cathedral itself. The Chapter sells the general visit for 13 EUR online or 14 EUR at the ticket office, and its own guided tour of the Cathedral and the Giralda, about 90 minutes in English or Spanish, for 20 EUR online or 21 EUR at the office (checked November 2026). Is a Seville Cathedral tour worth it? weighs the two.

How a Seville Cathedral Tour Works
What each Crown Tours option buys, what the Cathedral sells itself, the December notice, where the tours start, and what to wear.
What each Crown Tours option buys

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Priority Access | The Real Alcázar, the Giralda and the Cathedral | 2.5 hours | US$66 | US$60 at the 2:35 pm start, US$66 from 11:15 am, US$68 at 10:00 to 11:00 |

| Private | The same three, your group only | 2.5 hours | US$308 for one adult | US$308 for one adult |
Prices are for one adult on an English-language tour, read in November 2026, when every option shown was on promotion at 22% off its usual price. The from-price on the card, US$60, is the Priority Access option on 24 November at the 2:35 pm start, the latest of that day; on 12 November the same option was US$66 at every start, and on 24 November it was US$66 from 11:15 am and US$68 at 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00. No option leaves a sight out: every one includes skip-the-line entry and a guided visit of the Real Alcázar and its gardens, the Cathedral and an introduction to the Giralda, with a personal headset.
The order is the Alcázar first. The guide takes you through the palace, the Patio de las Doncellas and the gardens, then across to the Giralda, where a guided introduction comes before you go up by its ramps; the guide meets you downstairs and finishes inside the Cathedral, at the tomb of Christopher Columbus among other places. Full names and passport numbers are needed when you book, the tickets are timed to your slot, and the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments. For a first visit to all three, this is the tour to book.

Which Seville Cathedral tour? sets it against the Cathedral-only tours and the other combined ones.
What the Cathedral sells itself

The general visit starts at the Giralda and takes about 75 minutes. It costs 13 EUR online or 14 EUR at the ticket office, 7 or 8 EUR reduced (over 65, students up to 25 and a few other groups), and children up to 13 go free with an adult; the audio guide is 5 EUR, or 4 EUR as an app, and the ticket also opens the Church of El Salvador. The Cathedral’s schedules page gives the visiting hours as Monday to Saturday 10:45 to 18:00, with the ticket office closing at 17:00, and Sunday 14:30 to 19:00, office closing at 18:00 (all checked November 2026). The Chapter changes those hours by notice for worship, so check its site before a visit.
Two Cathedral visits are sold only by the Cathedral. Its own guided tour of the Cathedral and the Giralda runs about 90 minutes in English or Spanish. The visit to the roofs, 20 EUR online or 21 EUR at the office, lasts 90 minutes and from October to May starts at 10:00 and 10:30 each day; neither GetYourGuide nor Viator lists a rooftop tour. For free visiting times, check the Cathedral’s site: its own pages do not agree on them.
The December notice
The Cathedral’s cultural-visit page carries this notice, read in November 2026: “On the occasion of the International Congress of Brotherhoods and Popular Piety: From December 4 to 7, the cultural visit will only include the ascent to the Giralda and the visit to the Fons Pietatis Exhibition.” Online access in those days is through the Puerta del Perdón, and the ticket office moves to the Puerta del Lagarto. “The cultural visit is suspended on December 8.” The notice prints no year; it was on the page for 4 to 8 December when checked in November 2026.
Tours set their own terms for those days. The two tours of Seville: Cathedral Guided Tour with Priority Access (SEVILLA OFFICIAL TOURS) and Seville: Alcázar and Cathedral Entry Ticket and Guided Tour (SEVILLA OFFICIAL TOURS) limit the Cathedral part to the eastern third of the church, where the exhibition is, and leave out the Main Chapel and Columbus’ Tomb. On the Crown Tours tour, weather, royal or religious events may limit or restrict access. If the Cathedral itself is the point of your trip, plan it for a day outside 4 to 8 December; hours and the December notice has the rest.
Where the tours start

Seville Cathedral stands on Avenida de la Constitución, with the Real Alcázar across Plaza del Triunfo to the south-east; the tram stop Archivo de Indias and metro line 1 at Puerta de Jerez are the nearest stations. Crown Tours meets by the Immaculate Conception monument in the middle of Plaza del Triunfo, 94 m on foot from the Alcázar ticket office and 174 m from the Cathedral’s Puerta del Lagarto. Voyager Seville starts at Calle Hernando Colón 6, 284 m from the Lagarto gate, and Seville Unique Experiences at the Fuente Farola on Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, 81 m from it.
What to wear and what to bring
The Cathedral asks visitors to dress respectfully and to take off head coverings, and it allows no flash or tripods, no food (water only) and no pets other than guide dogs. It publishes a dress guide; check it before you go. Tours add their own lists: the Crown Tours tour rules out sandals or flip flops, short skirts, sleeveless shirts and luggage or large bags. Bring the passport or ID you gave when booking, or a clear photo or copy of it: entry may be refused without it.
Columbus, the Giralda and the Alcázar
The tomb of Christopher Columbus has been in the Cathedral since 1899, carried by four heralds (Columbus’ tomb). The Giralda, the Cathedral’s bell tower, is climbed by ramps, not stairs (climbing the Giralda). And the Real Alcázar, a short walk across Plaza del Triunfo, keeps its own hours and tickets (the Cathedral and the Alcázar in one day).

Seville Cathedral: Questions
Tickets and tours, the Giralda, how long a visit takes, what to wear, Columbus' tomb and where the tours start.
The Cathedral's general visit is 13 EUR online or 14 EUR at the ticket office (Cabildo of Seville Cathedral, checked November 2026). It covers the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Church of El Salvador, with no guide. Reduced tickets are 7 or 8 EUR, children up to 13 go free with an adult, and the Cathedral's own guided tour is 20 EUR online or 21 EUR at the office. The Crown Tours tour of the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Real Alcázar runs from $60 (checked November 2026). See is a Seville Cathedral tour worth it?
Yes: the Cathedral's general visit begins at the Giralda, and you go up by ramps, not stairs. The Cathedral describes them as wide enough for a horse. Every tour with Giralda access lets you climb it, but not every guide climbs with you: on the Crown Tours tour the guide meets you downstairs afterwards. From 4 to 7 December the Cathedral's visit is limited to the Giralda climb and the Fons Pietatis exhibition. See climbing the Giralda.
The Giralda is the Cathedral's bell tower, first built as the minaret of the mosque that stood on the site. One ticket covers both, and the Cathedral's general visit starts with the tower.
About 75 minutes on the Cathedral's own general visit, by its own estimate (checked November 2026). Its guided tour lasts about 90 minutes. Guided tours of the Cathedral alone run 1 to 2 hours, and the Crown Tours tour that adds the Real Alcázar about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Not for most visitors: the general visit is 13 EUR online. Children up to 13 with an adult, people with a disability above 65% and unemployed Spanish nationals go in free with an official document (Cabildo of Seville Cathedral, checked November 2026). For any free visiting times, check the Cathedral's own site: its pages do not agree on them.
The Cathedral asks visitors to dress respectfully and to take off head coverings, and it publishes a dress guide: check it before you go. Tours set their own lists. Shorts, hats, short skirts and sleeveless shirts are on the not-allowed list of the Voyager Seville Cathedral tour, and long trousers or a skirt to the knee with covered shoulders is the safe choice on any of them. See hours and rules.
On the guided tours, yes. The Crown Tours tour needs full names and passport numbers when you book, and you bring the same passport or ID, or a clear photo or copy of it; entry may be refused without it. Some tours accept only the original document, so read the terms of the one you book.
The Cathedral says his remains rest there definitively. His tomb has been in the Cathedral since 1899: a sculptural group designed by Arturo Mélida, four heralds standing for the four historical kingdoms of Spain. The tomb of his son Hernando Colón is in the retrochoir. See Columbus' tomb.
Round the Cathedral, on Plaza del Triunfo and Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, or a short walk north. Crown Tours meets by the Immaculate Conception monument on Plaza del Triunfo, 174 m on foot from the Cathedral's Puerta del Lagarto and 94 m from the Real Alcázar ticket office.
